How do you become a Community Building Fellow

Thank you for your interest in being a Community Building Fellow (CBF). Before you can officially be a CBF, there are a few steps that we ask you to take prior to moving forward.

If you are interested in living in the Innovation House, please contact Christopher Brown, our Program Coordinator, at cbrown@neighborscapes.org or Omari Moore, our Executive Director at omoore@neighborscapes.org.

Fill out the application. You can access the application on our website under the Innovation House Tab.

*Please provide a scan of some form of State Issued I.D.*

Each Applicant needs to provide Proof of Income, in the form of your six previous pay-stubs or an offer letter if you're an AmeriCorps Member. Please submit your proof of income with your application for the Innovation Houses program.

Please note that we require a 3 day review process before being able to move into an Innovation House.

Each Applicant needs to set up a free Credit Karma account. The purpose for this is to check your credit status. 

After completing the Credit Karma setup, we need view your credit score. This can be done in 2 ways:  

· You can submit your login credentials to our board member Damon Perry, who serves as leasing agent, at damondperry@gmail.com and change the password after he looks at your credit. Damon Perry is the rental manager for the Innovation Houses.

· You can contact Christopher Brown our program coordinator at cbrown@neighborscapes.org.

Lastly, we ask that you meet with other Community Building Fellows (CBFs) prior to moving into the Innovation House.
